Recap of October at The Lakehouse Inn - Moving into November

Well, I thought September flew by, I really don't where October went. It was a busy month of activities. In addition to Harvest, The Spencerian Saga was here for two weeks. We hosted our first Winery Tour Weekend of the Fall season last weekend and our semi-annual Murder Mystery Dinner was Friday evening. In addition, we started a new Afternoon with the Vintner Series last Sunday. This afternoon is the second, It's All About the Bubbly, wine and food pairing. Speaking of the Murder Mystery, we had a very last minute cancellation due to illness, which resulted in a NEED to find an understudy for the murderer. Low and behold, we were successful.

Tom and his very imaginative and energetic wife, saved the evening. (We made sure he had plenty of Dort to get him through). Does she look familiar, by chance???

Flowers are still hanging in there. The Mums are still in full bloom,

in addition to the Delphinium, which is amazing to say the least.

The winds from this past week have taken it's toll on the leaves from the trees. It looks like Old Man Winter could come to life any day by the nakedness of the trees.

Well, November is starting with much post-Halloween gloom. Hopefully we will see some glimmer of sunshine today, it does not look very likely though.
